Answer:
Young cats can be troublesome chewers, especially of plastic-covered electrical extension cords and telephone wires. This can be fatal if they bite into "hot" wires and get electrocuted, and it could even start a house fire. So, for everyone's sake, this behavior must be stopped.Go to your local pet store and check for safe, pet-repellent sprays that you could apply to your phone cord and other cords. Or make your own from a base of jalapeno-pepper juice. Get your cat a variety of play toys and a pot of sprouted greens on which to nibble.Cats like yours can become compulsive chewers when they are bored, they have no toys or cat companions, or they crave more roughage in their diets.
