Question:
I was reading your comments in the newspaper about "mites under the skin." I have been diagnosed with these mites and am having an awful time trying to get rid of them.I've been to five different dermatologists and tried several solutions (including hydrocortisone) that seem to kill the mites. But what do I use to cure the infection caused by them?.

Answer:
Hydrocortisone is not one of the best medicines for this disease -- scabies - because it can actually make things worse, even though it does help alleviate the itch and inflammation.I contracted this skin disease from mange-infected dogs while working in India, and found the most effective treatment was an ointment of benzyl benzoate applied daily for five to seven days. Residual infection can be treated with a broad spectrum of antibiotic or essential oils, including frankincense, oregano, lemon and lavender.
