Question:
I have an aunt whose dog, a cocker spaniel, has bitten both my aunt and me, and he even has seizures sometimes. When I house-sat while my aunt was away on vacation he was fine. Can certain people make some dogs crazy?.

Answer:
Yes, some breeds, like Brittany spaniels, Doberman pinschers and dachshunds, to name a few, need a calm, patient and consistent human companion. They are very sensitive to intense, erratic or sudden sounds and movement, as well as to inconsistent human behavior.Neurotic and hysterical people do "infect" their animal companions, who can become like them. In addition to certain breeds, some individual dogs and cats are more susceptible than others -- usually, it's the animals who are more sensitive, intelligent, empathetic and aware.
